Worth the wait?

So the bathroom is finished. Finally. Just mopped the floor and had to take a photo before the home office's morning routine. I am trying to decide if I love it or if it is too busy. My mom found the mirrors at an estate sale, I painted them nickel and now DLS walks up to them and says, "Mirror, mirror on the wall...." They do kinda look like the Magic Mirror from Snow White.

Don't want it to be so busy it turns into one of those old lady bathrooms with the crochet toilet paper doll hider thing. Does anyone remember those? What reminds me of an older person's bathroom; crochet and Skin So Soft bubble bath. Must be that nice old lady who used to babysit us in Rapid when we were little. Her bathroom was pink, pink and more pink all done up by Avon.

I digress and must go to bed now. I will sleep well now that I have closure, but need to start on the basement tomorrow.

Six weeks

I am sidelined for at least six weeks. No tennis - no good. My bad wheel turned into immobile wheel today thanks to an air cast. Not the most attractive accessory. I had been trying to continue playing with the plantar fasciitis guess I figured it was going to be around for awhile so might as well deal with it. This plan actually worked out for the best because when I was playing on Thursday there was this loud pop in the bottom of my foot. Suddenly my heel felt better, so I thought, "Maybe it released all of the bad heel juju into the rest of my foot." Well, it was something like that. Evidently I tore a ligament in my foot which the doctor told me is really the best thing that could have happened. The reason why is it cured the plantar fasciitis. Plus the recovery time for the ligament thing is about six weeks versus potentially months or years with the other. So all in all I guess it was a good thing to tear a ligament. I am bummed because I can't do any exercise for t...

Have you met my friend Jane?

I am a complete Jane Austen junkie, in fact I think that I need to maybe seek help. Shelly tells me I need help and we all know Shel tells it like it is, so it must be true. "Hello, my name is Susan and I love Jane. Jane Austen." I read "Pride and Prejudice", annually. Yes, every year I spend a weekend with Elizabeth Bennett and Fitzwilliam Darcy. Now that I think about it I may need to skip my little tradition this year because I have so many other never read books piled up and there is a due date looming from the library. The reason I share this closeted truth with you my friends is because there is a TV event starting this weekend on PBS. It is basically the 10 weeks of Jane, every Sunday night PBS will air a adaptation of Jane Austen's novels. Here is the schedule. So, if you have never had the opportunity to get to know Jane, maybe it is time. Think about it, there is no new TV, it's cold out and you can learn new some new sayings for Monday. Nothing ...
