For DeAnn

About a month ago, my family (without me - can't remember why I wasn't there) went to the Original Pancake House in Eden Prairie for breakfast. While there, Adrian Peterson came in with his family. My sister, never being one to just sit by and watch life go by walked up to the table and asked one of the people at the table  a question.

"Is that Adrian Peterson?"

"Might be," responded the man.

"Oh, are you a Viking too?" she asked.

The man turned to her with a smile on his face and said, "No maam, I'm his daddy! You know what I like you. Adrian, get over here and take a picture with this lady, I like her."

I guess JG walked up to him and said, "I have you on my wall!" (He has a Fathead of him in his room). Adrian was very humble and was so kind especially to stand and take photos with these crazies.

I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!!!! Those are the best pictures and he is just so dang CUTE! I swear when we go the cities next year for a game, I heard through the grapevine of the hotel where the players stay and I AM GOING TO STAY THERE TOO! Any chance of meeting him would be AWESOME! You guys are so lucky to see him twice. I think it was great of him to take a photo with you. I may just print these out so they remind me to never give up!

Ok, NOW you've got the Monkey's attention. He says Adrian is one of the best running backs in the NFL. He also says he's coming to visit...you've got snow AND NFL players.

Six weeks

I am sidelined for at least six weeks. No tennis - no good. My bad wheel turned into immobile wheel today thanks to an air cast. Not the most attractive accessory. I had been trying to continue playing with the plantar fasciitis guess I figured it was going to be around for awhile so might as well deal with it. This plan actually worked out for the best because when I was playing on Thursday there was this loud pop in the bottom of my foot. Suddenly my heel felt better, so I thought, "Maybe it released all of the bad heel juju into the rest of my foot." Well, it was something like that. Evidently I tore a ligament in my foot which the doctor told me is really the best thing that could have happened. The reason why is it cured the plantar fasciitis. Plus the recovery time for the ligament thing is about six weeks versus potentially months or years with the other. So all in all I guess it was a good thing to tear a ligament. I am bummed because I can't do any exercise for t...

Tightrope walking on a string

This has been one of "those" weeks where I often find myself scared to slow down and assess the situation because when I do I start to get this really tight feeling in my chest and I feel nauseous. Does anyone else get that? When life is going mach 10 with your hair on fire...and if you stop you just might fall right over from that string you are balancing everything on... I am going to bed.
