This is what I am feeling like right about now...

Don't know what part of having 11 girls over for a slumber party, starting a new job, hosting book club (oh, and finish book I must lead group in discussion), going to two basketball tournaments and hosting bunco all in 8 days or less seemed like a good idea...

We are here surviving one day at a time.

Will post more this week, so many little stories to tell.

Quick little one.

This evening the 10 year old told the almost 6 year old.

"You're about as deep as a turkey sandwich."

The almost 6 year old's retort?

"I don't like turkey."

Dear me. 11 girls over night. Hmmm. I bet that office sounded pretty nice to you about 9 PM? Your kids sound just like mine. I have a 10, 8, and 5 year old. All soon to change to a year older in 2 months. I just love (sometimes) what comes out of their mouth. K~

Six weeks

I am sidelined for at least six weeks. No tennis - no good. My bad wheel turned into immobile wheel today thanks to an air cast. Not the most attractive accessory. I had been trying to continue playing with the plantar fasciitis guess I figured it was going to be around for awhile so might as well deal with it. This plan actually worked out for the best because when I was playing on Thursday there was this loud pop in the bottom of my foot. Suddenly my heel felt better, so I thought, "Maybe it released all of the bad heel juju into the rest of my foot." Well, it was something like that. Evidently I tore a ligament in my foot which the doctor told me is really the best thing that could have happened. The reason why is it cured the plantar fasciitis. Plus the recovery time for the ligament thing is about six weeks versus potentially months or years with the other. So all in all I guess it was a good thing to tear a ligament. I am bummed because I can't do any exercise for t...

Have you met my friend Jane?

I am a complete Jane Austen junkie, in fact I think that I need to maybe seek help. Shelly tells me I need help and we all know Shel tells it like it is, so it must be true. "Hello, my name is Susan and I love Jane. Jane Austen." I read "Pride and Prejudice", annually. Yes, every year I spend a weekend with Elizabeth Bennett and Fitzwilliam Darcy. Now that I think about it I may need to skip my little tradition this year because I have so many other never read books piled up and there is a due date looming from the library. The reason I share this closeted truth with you my friends is because there is a TV event starting this weekend on PBS. It is basically the 10 weeks of Jane, every Sunday night PBS will air a adaptation of Jane Austen's novels. Here is the schedule. So, if you have never had the opportunity to get to know Jane, maybe it is time. Think about it, there is no new TV, it's cold out and you can learn new some new sayings for Monday. Nothing ...
