How painful can naming a virtual pet be?

I just got done helping little man name his latest Webkinz, actually it is DLS' Webkinz - JG said he talked DLS into letting him buy DLS a Webkinz as JG's birthday gift to him cause he loves him since he helps with his other Webkinz.

Got that?

Basically JG scammed another Webkinz. He is getting quite creative.

It took us a good 10 minutes to come up with a name for his Big 'Kinz elephant because mom wasn't really cool with the name he came up with.

JG originally decided that the elephant should be called "Horn" because according to him the elephant has horns. I couldn't talk him into believing that the horns are actually called tusks. NO GO. JG has this little habit of adding a "Y" to end of pretty much everything these days which is why I was leery of the name from the get go. After a few minutes the elephant became affectionately, "Horny".

You see now why I was having issues. I am cool with a polar bear named "Snowy" but just can't deal with an elephant named "Horny".

So we started the conversation again when we actually got to the adoption page and needed to type in elephant's moniker.

Mom: How about George?
JG: Mom, we can't name him George - that's a monkey.
Mom: OK, well then how about Dumbo?
JG: Yeah, that sounds good.

I begin typing, D-U-M...

JG: Wait mom I can't have a name with dumb in it, that's not nice.
Mom: What about Jumbo?
JG: OK - no not Jumbo. I don't want a name with "Bo" in it. It's weird.
Mom: Maybe Pete?
JG: Why would I name my elephant Pete? He doesn't like that name.
Mom: Well, JG I don't know. I gave you all of my suggestions I can come up with right now.

After much thought and re-typing the elephant has a name.

FUZZ - or 10 minutes from now - FUZZY.

OK.....I'm with you sister!!! I tell you, try naming a neopet! They are all taken. One of our neopets is called fury5120, the other is squirt51497, I can't remember the other one. As for webkinz. I hate to see what their real kids names will be. It will be just baby boy or baby girl for about 5 years until that is decided!! K~

Hiatus no more

I don't know what it is about January, but 'round about January 15th I go into a complete and utter funk - hence no blogging. It is as if I need to cocoon for a bit, metamorphosize, and re-enter the world in February. This year has been especially bad due to our chaotic schedules with the kids, plus I have been working almost 60 hours per week as it is budget time and we are determining what exactly does "hunkering down" look like. Don't worry, work is still fun, challenging might be a better word. I truly love my new job, actually it was a promotion - didn't officially know until this week, so that jump starts the old engine as well. Other than that I have also realized in the last week my body is really, really mad at me. Things are just not working as they should and finally made the decision to go see the doctor who helped with the torn ligament a few years ago. JG's Blog

JG has decided he wants his own blog. He wants to call it, JG Uses the Puter (computer). On his blog he will have Game Cube tips, Game Boy complaints, Pokemon stuff and updates on play dates with his friends. He also will have a special section for Speedy to tell how much he loves JG.
