The creative well is dry my friends, much like my yard

I don't know what the deal is, but I am totally in a blog funk right now... I just can't come up with any good "material" lately.

Has anyone else gone through this?

Maybe it is because my little muse has left me for the big wide world of kindergarten...

Little man did tell me the other day that the kiss I gave him reminded him of "dog vomit" cause it was too "slobbery". Hope he brushes up on the sweet talk before he meets his first girlfriend otherwise it may be his last.

BTW the picture above is not our yard, just wanted to make sure no one thought it was that bad. I mean the home office did turn off the sprinkler system because he no longer wanted to mow, but I will figure out how to run the #*($@& home office installed system if it gets to this point.

susan!

man, that's how it always works. you get people like me, glued to my desk in little ole South Dakota, and loving your stories.

then, mysteriously they disappear like a ufo took a whole family away or something.

then, the thoughts start to happen...are they sick? is susan depressed? did that whole job thing start and i forgot? where IS she? why did she leave us with that darn Britney shirt, couldn't she at least have composed something for the occasion?

then, "come to find out" it's really just the blog block. happens to everybody. happens BECAUSE you now have an audience, and you know it.

just relax, forget about us (well, not really) and it'll come back. really, it will. in the meantime, lame posts are allowed :)

i guess i've had the block for awhile then.....doh.

Believe I understand where you are at here. Sometimes, I am just so drained from my day, I can't think of a single interesting thing. Obviously you got it back, cuz I just read some great posts. And I knew that wasn't your yard in the pic, I thought you found a pic of mine!

Six weeks

I am sidelined for at least six weeks. No tennis - no good. My bad wheel turned into immobile wheel today thanks to an air cast. Not the most attractive accessory. I had been trying to continue playing with the plantar fasciitis guess I figured it was going to be around for awhile so might as well deal with it. This plan actually worked out for the best because when I was playing on Thursday there was this loud pop in the bottom of my foot. Suddenly my heel felt better, so I thought, "Maybe it released all of the bad heel juju into the rest of my foot." Well, it was something like that. Evidently I tore a ligament in my foot which the doctor told me is really the best thing that could have happened. The reason why is it cured the plantar fasciitis. Plus the recovery time for the ligament thing is about six weeks versus potentially months or years with the other. So all in all I guess it was a good thing to tear a ligament. I am bummed because I can't do any exercise for t...

Have you met my friend Jane?

I am a complete Jane Austen junkie, in fact I think that I need to maybe seek help. Shelly tells me I need help and we all know Shel tells it like it is, so it must be true. "Hello, my name is Susan and I love Jane. Jane Austen." I read "Pride and Prejudice", annually. Yes, every year I spend a weekend with Elizabeth Bennett and Fitzwilliam Darcy. Now that I think about it I may need to skip my little tradition this year because I have so many other never read books piled up and there is a due date looming from the library. The reason I share this closeted truth with you my friends is because there is a TV event starting this weekend on PBS. It is basically the 10 weeks of Jane, every Sunday night PBS will air a adaptation of Jane Austen's novels. Here is the schedule. So, if you have never had the opportunity to get to know Jane, maybe it is time. Think about it, there is no new TV, it's cold out and you can learn new some new sayings for Monday. Nothing ...
